Nicky Arscott is a writer and artist living in Llanbrynmair, Mid Wales, specialising in painting and poetry comics. She frequently addresses environmental and social issues, presenting a world where instinct and sensory experience are as important as more traditional frameworks for understanding, with the intention of encouraging both a personal examination of our belief systems, and an individual interpretation of the work.

Collaborating with writers from around the world through organisations such as Literature Across Frontiers, Wales Arts International and British Council Wales, Nicky's poetry comics have appeared in international publications including Poetry Wales, New Welsh Review, Wales Arts Review, Nashville Review, Berfrois, Red Ink and MAI: A Feminist Journal. She is an Associate Artist at the Oriel Davies Gallery and a freelance creative practitioner on participatory arts projects including most recently for Artes Mundi 10.
