Soft Mutation is both a comic book (for sale here) and an exhibition of paintings. Based on a poem written by Nicky Arscott and translated into Welsh by Hywel Griffiths, each painting forms one panel of a huge visual poem exploring bilingualism, identity, motherhood and death. This exhibition was accompanied by a poetry comics workshop for local schools and sixth-form colleges, an artist's talk, and a guided tour for a day care centre for adults with learning disabilities.
